30 April: Lecture & workshop Nightwalking II
Nightwalking II researches the process of communication with people with congenital deaf blindness and will result in an interdisciplinary installation that offers the audience a parcour through a sensory experience and ends with a film portraying the first encounter of a professional dancer and a deafblind person. ICKamsterdam collaborates with André Arends (MICH Foundation), Rijksuniversiteit Groningen and the healthcare organizations Koninklijke Kentalis and Bartimeus Sonneheerdt to develop Nighwalking II.
The project has its kick off with a lecture-workshop open for everyone interested in the subject. Dr. Saskia Damen (specialist in behaviour and communication at Koninklijk Kentalis) will offer a lecture on the subject of communication with deaf-blind people and together with Andre Arends (initiator of the project and founder of MICH Foundation) will guide a workshop to experience physically what the research and the project will be about.
Everyone interested in the subject is welcome, no (dance) experience required.
